A Chinese government agency reportedly has put the kibosh on any print or TV ads featuring actress and Pond's spokesmodel Tang Wei, who raised the ire of authorities for her role in the sexually charged film "Lust, Caution." However, Unilever claims the ads have the go-ahead from a different Chinese government agency. Neither Pond's creative shop for China, WPP Group's Ogilvy & Mather, nor its media agency in the country, sibling MindShare, commented for this article.
