Colorado company Lamar Cos. has purchased a shopping center in North Richland Hills, Texas, from a Los Angeles-based private investment company for an undisclosed amount. The 99,331-square foot center was built in 1991.
Borders' new 23,000-square-foot store in National City, Calif., includes kiosks offering downloads, CD compilations and other digital services. The company hopes to profit from the growth of electronic media and give a nudge to lagging print sales.
