Brazil's interior plains, once viewed as a vast wasteland, are being transformed into the world's breadbasket. With plenty of sun and water and the most arable land of any country on earth, Brazil is already the world's top exporter of soybeans, sugar, coffee, beef and poultry. All the increased agribusiness makes it attractive to U.S. manufacturers such as John Deere, which already has 140 stores and 114 dealers in the country and plans to expand.
