A USDA report found that 80% of the country's corn crops and 92% of its soybean crops come from biotech varieties. The use of biotech crops in Nebraska also increased, rising from 79% of planted acreage in 2007 to 86% this year. The findings suggest that biotechnology is offering solutions to farmers through high-yield and pest-resistant crops, a BIO executive said.
