Advanced Medical Isotope Corp. said it has the capability to mass-produce medical isotopes that would help address the shortage caused by the temporary shutdown of a major isotope-producing reactor in the Netherlands. The company is equipped with a unique accelerator that enables isotope production without using nuclear energy. Lobbyist Claude Oliver, meanwhile, is proposing to reactivate the Fast Flux Test Facility in Washington state to supply medical isotopes in the U.S.
