HTC CEO Peter Chou said he expected sales of its Android-powered G1 cell phone to reach 600,000 units this year, although some observers wonder if those predictions were too conservative. T-Mobile USA began marketing the Google-powered phone last week and in an interview, Chou noted that HTC had worked especially close with Google, saying, "Of course we are not de-prioritizing Windows Mobile by any means. However, with Android we can do more."
