T-Mobile International AG will forgo employing today's cutting-edge 3G technologies -- HSPA and HSPA+ -- in favor of going straight to Long Term Evolution, the so-called "fourth-generation" broadband platform, a company executive said. "If I need to invest into more hardware, I think it's better to start early [with LTE]. LTE is a more future-oriented technology," said Chief Technology Officer Joachim Horn.
