Indian doctors successfully performed a bloodless open-heart surgery on a 75-year-old patient who refused to accept blood transfusion based on religious grounds. The procedure called for doctors to pump out blood from the patient and then reuse it. Bloodless surgery is a good option for many patients, as "blood safety is always a question during surgeries," one of the surgeons said.
