The American Chemistry Council was among industry groups urging U.S. lawmakers this week to allow for increased domestic production of natural gas while exempting natural gas feedstocks from greenhouse-gas emission limitations expected this year. ACC President Cal Dooley said at a congressional hearing that the industry needs to be considered in any legislation seeking to affect climate change. "We believe there should be an accommodation in energy and climate policy for raw materials such as natural gas," he said.
