Chief executive Maurice Levy expects Publicis Groupe sales to decline in 2009, despite anticipated growth in digital advertising and emerging markets. He told the Financial Times that his focus would be on trying to pick up market share from rivals while keeping a close eye on margins. He said, "Realistically speaking, if we make up for a large part of what the market is going to lose, I will have done a good job."
