T-Mobile USA has earned a key milestone, reaching the 1 million sales mark for its Android-powered HTC-built G1 smartphone, according to parent company Deutsche Telekom. The G1, while unable to keep up with the iPhone's pace of 1 million in the first month of sales, remains by far T-Mobile's most popular 3G-enabled smartphone. In another sign of Android's growth, AdMob reported that the operating system has gained a 6% share of the U.S. smartphone market.
