Consumers buying food and beverages to go are more concerned about freshness and quality than prices. According to a new report, about a third of surveyed consumers said they choose where to shop based on price, and more than half said quality and freshness were the deciding factors.
Fresh & Easy stores will give away canvas shopping bags to customers who spend at least $10 on April 22. The retailer has made other green efforts, such as using LED lighting and offering customer recycling in its stores.
Guiding Stars Licensing, which launched its namesake nutritional labeling program in 2006, signed a deal with Cone to provide its media relations and strategic marketing.
