Medical education never ends and there are times when physicians teach nurses and times when the reverse is true, writes RN Theresa Brown in her New York Times blog. She says the concept that floor nurses do some guiding and instructing of physicians, especially new ones, remains an unspoken but ad hoc part of medical education. For both, such situations can cause uneasy conversations and embarrassment.
