Brian Christenberry, NFIB's member-services director in Indiana, says the organization is pleased that state legislators want to cut taxes for businesses that do not lay off workers even though they are planning to pass an unemployment bailout bill. "We feel people use the unemployment trust fund as part of their business plan, (for) regular layoffs, seasonal workers, temporary layoffs, temporary furloughs," he said. "We just don't think we should pick up the tab."
