High-school biology teachers often play a big role in students' beliefs about evolution and creationism, according to a study by University of Minnesota researchers. Nearly 60% of students whose biology classes covered creationism in high-school classes said it could be validated. "I've long known that many biology teachers teach creationism, but was surprised to learn they have such a strong impact," said lead author Randy Moore, a biology professor.
