Ten of the more than 400 nursing students graduating from Regis College in Weston, Mass., were the school's first to receive doctorates in nursing practice. For many of the DNP recipients, the degree was the culmination of efforts at balancing work, family and education over years. The program tries to make it easier for nurses to pursue the doctoral degree by scheduling classes in the evenings, on weekends, online and in intensive formats.
