A new 55,000-seat stadium in Taiwan that has the ability to provide its own power and water is reported to be among the greenest buildings in the world. The stadium, sometimes called the "sun-powered stunner," is also designed to withstand severe earthquakes and typhoons. Solar panels on the stadium's roof generate energy for the building, and builders used computer modeling to determine the impact that earthquakes or typhoons would have on the panels.
