The fate of the F-22 Raptor will remain undecided for another week or more after Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman Carl Levin, D-Mich., withdrew an amendment on Wednesday that would have stripped $1.75 billion in funding from next year's defense budget. Levin said a July 13 veto threat from the White House appeared to help his cause, but the most recent poll showed 32 senators still undecided on killing the F-22.
