Regional carrier SureWest Communications will use Microsoft Mediaroom as its IPTV platform for its launch of ADSL2+-based video service to 25,000 homes in its Sacramento, Calif., division, the company said Tuesday.
SureWest has offered video to subscribers hooked up to fiber-optic lines, but its ADSL2+ subscribers have been limited to voice and data services.
