Cleveland developer and gaming mogul Jeff Jacobs is planning a 1,000-room hotel-casino next to a planned convention center and medical mart in the city. Telling a newspaper "Why settle for hamburger when Cleveland could end up with steak?" Jacobs said that in addition to planning his own project, he would lend his name and substantial cash to defeat a competing four-casino project supported by Cleveland Cavaliers majority owner Dan Gilbert, which will be on the November ballot.
