Higher demand drove up daily U.S. ethanol output by about 4.9% in July, according to a report from the Energy Information Administration. Ethanol distillers produced more than 728,000 barrels per day, increasing from about 694,000 bpd in June, the agency said. In July, blenders and refiners added more than 673,000 barrels daily of ethanol into gasoline, compared with 669,000 bpd in June.
