Many of England's schools lack adequate kitchen facilities, hurting attempts to offer students' hot, nutritious meals, a recent study found. "Eating a nutritious meal at lunchtime from a young age can help improve the behaviour of children in school and at home," said schools Secretary Ed Balls, referring to a programme that offers free meals for students. He added, "Healthy school meals are vital to helping children do well at school and to prevent obesity."
