The next step in overhauling the U.S. health care system is for the Congress to combine five health care bills, two in the Senate and three in the House, into something that can be adopted by both houses. The Senate Finance Committee voted 14-9 to approve a measure backed by committee Chairman Max Baucus, D-Mont. Sen. Olympia Snowe, R-Maine, was the only Republican joining 13 Democrats in the vote. Of the proposals, only Baucus' has a price tag that comes in under the $900 billion limit set by Obama.
