The United Auto Workers union ratified a six-year contract with Deere & Co. that covers around 17% of the company's employees. The agreement, which takes effect Monday, covers 9,500 workers and 17,000 retirees. "We appreciate the hard work and dedication of our workforce as we team together to retain our position as a leader in the various markets we serve," said Samuel Allen, Deere's president and chief executive officer.
