Investigators looking into last weekend's belly-landing of a United Airlines jet suspect that one of the plane's three landing-gear doors did not open fully. The pilot of the Airbus A319 noticed the problem during approach to Newark Liberty International Airport on Sunday. When emergency procedures failed to correct the problem, he executed a two-point landing. There were no injuries in the incident, and the crew won praise for its efforts.
