The Institute for Patient Blood Management and Bloodless Medicine and Surgery at Englewood Hospital Medical Center in New Jersey has received $1.49 million in federal funds. The funding, delivered by Rep. Steve Rothman, D-N.J., brings the total federal funding for the hospital's bloodless medicine program to $4.69 million. The funding will be used to train civilian and military physicians on bloodless medical procedures and their applications in settings where blood is limited, cannot be used or not available.
