As the health IT job market changes and companies begin to elevate their talent pools, health care organizations also should begin adopting new strategies to hire and retain the talent they need to meet new demands, writes Tim Tolan, senior partner at Sanford Rose Associates Healthcare IT Practice. These strategies include effectively communicating the organization's value to top candidates during the hiring process, implementing an improvement plan for average employees and setting up a formal retention plan for top team members, Tolan writes.
