With Delta Air Lines still in talks with Boeing Co. about the future of a 787 order inherited during its merger with Northwest Airlines, the first Dreamliners in the U.S. will probably go to Continental Airlines. The Houston-based carrier said in a regulatory filing that it expects to receive six of the high-tech airplanes in the second half of 2011. Elsewhere in the same filing, Continental said its booking factor for the next six weeks appears flat or marginally lower compared to last year, suggesting that demand remains sluggish despite earlier signs of growth.
