A study in mice shows young pups whose mothers were exposed to the chemical bisphenol A developed allergic asthma. Researchers said they are collecting cord blood from humans and grouping it according to BPA exposure so the children can be followed to see if they develop asthma. A separate study found children whose mothers had high levels of folate during pregnancy were more likely to develop asthma by age 3.
