CDC researchers found that babies who are breast-fed in early infancy can better self-regulate their milk intake in late infancy compared with babies who were bottle-fed, which could explain previous findings linking breast-feeding to lower obesity rates. The study "shows the importance of learning to recognize your infant's cues and to respect those cues," a neonatology expert said.
