After posting record growth during the past year, REITs lost 5.5% of their value in May and began exhibiting some volatility. One explanation making the rounds was that REITs had become overvalued. But NAREIT's vice president of industry research, Brad Case, argues Greece's debt woes had much to do with the fallback -- as well as a tendency by investors to lump REITs with all financial stocks.
