Regular aerobic or resistance exercise helped obese boys improve total body fat levels, visceral adipose tissue concentrations and insulin sensitivity without dietary changes, study data showed. After three months, there were no significant changes in mean body weight, but the boys had significant gains in cardiorespiratory fitness. Aerobic exercisers showed a 9.6% decline in body fat, while resistance exercisers had a 4.7% drop.
