Attempted terror attacks have hit a record high for a one-year period, according to the Department of Homeland Security, which anticipates an "increased frequency" of attacks in the coming months. "We have to operate under the premise that other operatives are in the country and could advance plotting with little or no warning," DHS said last week in a three-page report. The memo said DHS will respond by providing local law enforcement with better intelligence, training and resources.
