Burlington International Airport showed off its new canine unit on Tuesday, wowing onlookers with a demonstration in which dogs took less than 10 seconds to sniff out bags packed with simulated explosives. Bruce McDonald, federal security director at the Vermont airport, said the dogs took just seconds to find suspect bags within an area of 100 square yards. "Our normal equipment could have found it, but it would have taken upwards of 20 minutes," he said.
