Quickserve chains are adding inches to sandwiches, cheeseburgers and hot dogs in an effort to boost sales. Playing on the popularity of Subway's foot-long sandwiches, Carl's Jr. is testing a 12-inch cheeseburger at 100 of its namesake and Hardee's stores. Other entries include Sonic's new foot-long hot dog and additional offerings from Subway and Quiznos.
