In an effort to woo more business travelers to New York LaGuardia, Delta Air Lines has enlisted some of the city's best-known restaurateurs to open 13 upscale new eateries. A French bistro, a New York steakhouse and a raw bar are among the concepts under development by the same company that manages JetBlue's offerings at New York JFK, where per-traveler dining revenues are about 40% higher than the industry average. "What Delta is doing is smart," says analyst Henry Harteveldt. "As consumers, we like experiences. Details like airport food and beverage outlets can help the airline stand out."
