The recent dismissal of Hewlett-Packard CEO Mark Hurd was handled much better than when the head of BP left the company after the Gulf of Mexico oil spill, Kathy Rapp writes. A quick investigation and decision to fire Hurd for expense report questions and a sexual harassment charge show the company was focused on maintaining its integrity and upholding its core values, "even though it may temporarily hurt their company," she writes.
