A Gallup Poll found that the general public ranks the "advertising and public relations industry" ahead of several sectors that are currently in held in low esteem, including pharmaceuticals, oil and gas and banking. Breaking down the numbers, 27% were neutral about the ad and PR business, while 25% hold "somewhat negative" opinions and 11% were "very negative," with 6% "very" positive and 27% "somewhat" positive.
