U.S. researchers have developed a diagnostic chip that uses a combination of microfluidics and microscopy-based imaging to create single-cell "molecular fingerprints" for brain tumor samples. The microfluidic image cytometry platform allows researchers to make in vitro molecular measurements to identify patterns that could aid in detailing patient prognosis and creating personalized cancer therapies.
