The Securities and Exchange Commission said its overhauled enforcement division is working on more high-profile action similar to a civil fraud case against Goldman Sachs regarding sales of mortgage-backed securities. "Deterrence works in the white-collar world," said Robert Khuzami, director of enforcement at the SEC. "Financial institutions look at cases like Goldman and review their own practices and risk tolerance and think about how risky behavior affects their brand."
