Target is adding to its selection of mobile phones through a partnership with RadioShack that calls for mobile kiosks in most of its 1,700 stores by the middle of next year. As part of its push to expand revenue from the consumer-electronics side of its business, Target is also beefing up its tech-support services and providing a place for shoppers to recycle used electronics. One analyst says the ramped-up efforts will prove a challenge to Best Buy, which offers a vastly greater selection but doesn't have the high daily traffic numbers that Target boasts.
