A case in the Netherlands of a 5-year-old patient with leukemia who died after the H1N1 flu mutated into a drug-resistant strain illustrates how vulnerable patients with compromised immune systems can become, Dutch doctors said. The mutated form of the flu was resistant to Tamiflu, Relenza and peramivir, the study showed.
