Apple on Wednesday made a number of key product and service introductions, including a lighter version of its MacBook Air laptop computer, an updated operating system for Macintosh called Lion and a Mac application store similar to the online retail outlet for iPhones and iPads. The Lion OS, which will make Macs run a bit more like Apple mobile devices, is expected to be available next summer; the Mac app store is scheduled to open in about 90 days.
