Robots are teaching students English at two South Korean elementary schools as part of a pilot programme intended to increase students' "interest and self-motivation in studying English," a researcher said. A human teacher controls the robot -- sometimes from another country. One expert said the robots could help address a shortage of English-speaking teachers in South Korea by bringing in teachers remotely. But researchers say their are limits to the technology and that robots will not replace teachers any time soon.
