One in five consumers say good restaurant service is more important than the quality of the food on their plates, and one in four American diners say they would tell their friends not to frequent a restaurant where they had received poor service, according to a survey of U.S. and Canadian consumers. More than half the American respondents said restaurant service is declining, while 68% of all respondents said they're as loyal as ever to their favorite eateries.
