Ron Wyden, D-Ore., and Scott Brown, R-Mass., have proposed accelerating a provision in the health care reform law that would allow states to seek waivers to some of the law's provisions if they can come up with solutions that meet the law's targets. The provision is set to take effect in 2017, but the senators have proposed moving that date to 2014, a move some experts say could cool partisan wrangling on the law.
