A Texas utility is to install up to 150 electric-vehicle charging stations in the Houston area in a bid to counter the "range anxiety" that many consumers cite as a reason they would be reluctant to trade in their gas-powered vehicles. The chargers would give up to four miles of range for each minute of charging, allowing motorists who run out of juice to boost their batteries enough to complete a trip.
