The provisions for ethanol tax credits in the Senate's compromise tax package are not a big issue, said Sen. Jim Inhofe, R-Okla. The tax measure is a "better deal than I ever thought would be struck" between Republican lawmakers and the White House, Inhofe said. "94% of the provisions [in the tax bill] are meaningful. For people talking about wind and ethanol subsidies, you're talking about 2% of the whole deal."
