The chance of suffering a stroke within six years was one in 150 for teens and women ages 15 to 40 with high blood pressure during pregnancy and one in 110 for those who also had preterm births, researchers reported in the journal Stroke. Mothers of preterm babies also had a one in 225 chance of suffering a stroke even if they didn't have high blood pressure during pregnancy, the study found.
