Advanced BioHealing makes Dermagraft -- a wound care product that contains living human fibroblast cells, an extracellular matrix and an absorbable scaffold -- which is approved to treat diabetic foot ulcers and is in clinical trials for healing venous leg ulcers, Senior Vice President Dean Tozer said. "This approach to healing wounds is a prime example of the potential of the emerging field regenerative medicine," Tozer said in this interview with Today's Wound Clinic. The company also developed a community health education program to raise awareness about diabetic foot ulcers.
